Here are three fun things to do in Georgetown

*One fun thing to do in Georgetown is visiting San Gabriel Park. This location sits on the north shore of the San Gabriel River, which is situated on the north side of town. Measuring a total of 180 acres, the park features 200 year old oak trees, as well as miles of biking and hiking trails that follow the river all the way to other parks located throughout Georgetown. Additionally, the park also features a nine-hole disc golf course, as well as a recreational center, baseball fields, and soccer fields.

*Another fun thing to do in Georgetown is visiting Blue Hole. This location is a scenic lagoon that is bordered by tree-covered limestone bluffs that can also be found on the south fork of the San Gabriel River. It’s also located just a few short blocks from downtown Georgetown itself. The park itself also features amenities such as picnic spots, restroom facilities, and wading areas. This area is open to all members of the public from dawn until dusk.

*One other fun thing to do in Georgetown is visiting Historic Downtown Georgetown. This area is considered to be one of the main attractions of the city itself, especially Main Street Georgetown and the greater downtown area itself. Here, you’ll find buildings that have been amazingly restored, which house locally-owned restaurants, craft, and antique stores, and coffee shops. Additionally, the Williamson County Courthouse serves as the anchor to the central square of the downtown area, which is where many of the downtown section’s shopping and dining spots can be found.
