Remote Video Software

Digital video recording cards are capable of viewing either 4, 8 or 16 cameras. Cards are available in 30, 60 or120 frames per second. Each package includes a PC, DVR card, software for host computer, and software for one remote client.

* Length of recording depends on the size of the hard-drive. At 30 frames per second, a 40GB hard-drive can record for approximately 135 hours (11 days). A modem can be used to view the cameras at an off-site location, but a cable or DSL modem is recommended for the best video quality. A cable/DSL router must be used if more than one computer will be using the internet connection. Also, a static IP address must be supplied in order to view the cameras from off-site. Each computer that will be viewing the images from the cameras must have at least a 32MB video-card, however a 64MB video card is recommended.
